The Industrial Internet is driving the physical world to a more efficient place, and more than ever people are interacting with the machines – from jet engines to wind turbines – around us. But this human-machine interaction is not possible without craftsmanship. This discussion will focus on how designers and developers are working together to create new trends and how technology and traditional craft can and will co–exist.

Greg Petroff is general manager of the User Experience Center of Excellence for GE Software. The UX CoE is charged with elevating the quality of digital experiences created by GE for its customers. At GE, Mr. Petroff is leading efforts to define the human interface to the Industrial Internet, connecting people to machines and systems in meaningful ways.
Mr. Petroff has more than 25 years of industry experience in user-interface, experience and interaction design. Prior to GE, Mr. Petroff worked at SAP in a variety of design roles, including VP of product management for the design and new applications team, where he spearheaded the first consumer application and the first application in SAP history that was completed from concept to product in 90 days. Before that he was also a partner and co-founder of Design Visualization Partners, and the Creative Director at VIZRT.Hide the rest
