The band REGRA 4 was formed in Curitiba 17 years ago and has a discography of 4 Albums that were released independently: “Max Single Regra 4” (2001); “Samba Groove: a Volta do Homem pro Mato (2005); “Quando a Máquina Parar” (2008) and “Filhos do Rio Belém” (2012).

The sound is a result of a research that aggregates Afro-Brazilian rhythms (samba, côco, ijexa, frevo, maculelê, maracatu, jongo, ilu) with live electronic music and Rock, producing a Contemporary MPB (Brazilian Popular Music). This sonority is very well perceptible in the recently released album “Filhos do Rio Belém”(2012).

In July 2011, the group Regra 4 conquered international recognition and space, when they participated in the 45th edition of the Mountreux Jazz Festival and the 18th Montreux Meets Brienz, both in Switzerland.

This year, in July 2013, Regra 4 released their first DVD called “Filhos do Rio Belém” in Switzerland, France, Portugal and Curitiba. It was a 21- day tour passing by renowned festivals such as “Fête de la musique” (France), “Tempo Latino” (Switzerland) and “Sleepness Festival” (Switzerland).
