The Winter Brave, composed of singer-guitarist Jake Scarpino, drummer-singer Sam Scarpino, and bassist Chris Beaulieu, is a Rock/Alternative band with their roots in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The trio were only thirteen years old when they began writing songs and playing shows together in 2007.

In 2012 the band parted ways to pursue a college education. However, that following winter the band gained international attention when Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters mentioned the band during an Ask Me Anything (AMA) on Reddit.com. This resulted in a surge in their popularity and exposure. Over the next month the band's music achieved over 200,000 plays on Soundcloud.com and their 'Metaphors' EP was #1 Best selling album on Bandcamp.com.

Since then, the band has relocated to the Boston area to focus solely on their music and they plan to release another EP in the next few months.
