The Great American Canyon Band is a Baltimore band based around husband and wife Paul and Krystal Jean Masson. Their debut EP, self-recorded in an gutted out house with no running water and just 2 old guitars creates a sound that is intimate, honest and ethereal. Released in the Spring of 2013 they garnered attention from tastemakers such as Yours Truly, Stereogum and eventually NPR, which named them a “Next Artist”. The title track "Lost At Sea" was put into regular rotation on radio stations across the country including WXPN, KCRW, WFMU and got them an invitation to play CMJ 2013. Baltimore’s 89.7 WTMD voted “Lost At Sea” #6 in their “Top 89 Songs of 2013”. The band is currently finishing up recording their debut LP, and continues to tour.
