An increasing number of up-and-coming and established artists are writing original music for brands and advertisers. Though still suffering from more of a credibility stigma than composing for films, writing for brands is becoming an important income stream and an alternative approach to song creation. Michael Frick is partner/executive producer at Mophonics NY/LA where he is responsible for developing new business with ad agencies and strategically pairing music with brands. Michael Fitzpatrick began his career as a studio engineer working with Producer Mickey Petralia (Ladytron, Beck, John Cale). Soon Mickey and Fitz started their own commercial music house called NewMath and had success working with Pedigree and other high profile clients such as Nissan, Dasani, and Coca Cola. All the while Fitz was working on his own music and fulfilled his dream in front of the mic with his band Fitz and The Tantrums. FATT will release their sophomore album More Than Just a Dream on May 7, 2013 on Elektra Records.

As Music Director at Leo Burnett, McDonough works on all-things-music for some of the world's biggest brands-- Samsung, Sprint, Allstate, Nintendo, Kellogg, Coke and McDonald's to name a few.
Heading up Leo Burnett's music department he oversees music supervision, licensing negotiations, original music composition and artist partnerships.
In 2013 Leo Burnett won the Midem Marketing Competition's "Best Music Placement in a TV Commercial" award for their use of Wilco's "I'm Always In Love" in their Sprint "Mobile Choir" spot.

As composer and creative director at bicoastal music shop Mophonics, Steph has written and CD'd hundreds of scores for the nation's favorite brands, a couple of movies, and played a key role in developing the careers of young up-and-comers including Foster The People's Mark Foster and Filligar's Casey Gibson.
