Protistas
Protistas began during the spring of 2008 with Alvaro Solar (vocals and guitar) and Andres Acevedo (drums, vocals). Later joined Julian Salas (guitar, vocals), Alejandro Palacios (bass and trumpet) and Greg Sebastian (keyboard and percussion). The band sound grown folk indie-rock, which has been captured in his three published works: "EP1" in 2009, their first full length "Nortinas War" of 2010, and finally "Las Cruces", published in March 2012. Protistas has been in several chilean stages like Circus Rock Festival, Pulsar and Primavera Fauna. Also participated in the concert "Opera Pop" with other important artists and early 2012 traveled to the cities of Puerto Varas, Valdivia and Llanquihue Summer Live Festival 2012, in southern Chile
Protistas has become one of the most important bands of 2012. For that reason, they are one of the Chilean bands invited to the third version of Lollapalooza Chile, to be held in April 2013.
