Unstuck: Get (and Keep) Your Creativity Flowing
Has your creative engine stalled out? Don’t worry; you’re in good company. Everyone needs a creative tune-up from time-to-time and this is where you’ll get the tools for the job. Artist/designer Noah Scalin, author of 365: A Daily Creativity Journal and Unstuck: 52 Ways To Get (and Keep) Your Creativity Flowing at Home, at Work, and in Your Studio, will share the story of his own yearlong Skull-A-Day project and the benefits he gained from this daily practice – including becoming a published author & sought after corporate speaker, and yes even making an appearance on The Martha Stewart show. He’ll also introduce you to several easy ways to immediately start generating more creative energy that will benefit your life and work.
Presenters
Noah Scalin is a Richmond, Virginia based artist/designer/activist and creator of the Webby award-winning art project Skull-A-Day. His fine art has been exhibited in museums and galleries internationally, including the Mütter Museum in Philadelphia and the International Museum of Surgical Science in Chicago. Noah also founded the socially conscious design and consulting firm Another Limited Rebellion. His work at ALR has been featured in dozens of books and magazines from both the US and abroad. In addition, Noah frequently gives lectures & workshops on creativity for groups ranging from teens in NYC to designers at the CIA and also teaches a course on socially conscious design at Virginia Commonwealth University. His first book, Skulls, was honored by the New York Public Library, named a “Top Ten Quick Pick for Reluctant Teen Readers” by the Young Adult Library Services Association, and was featured on The Martha Stewart Show. His recent books, 365: A Daily Creativity Journal and Unstuck: 52 Ways to Get (and Keep) Your Creativity Flowing at Home, at Work & in Your Studio, are all about helping others to get inspired and back on their creative paths.
