Having started in the mail room of a talent agency, Alf LaMont slogged his way through the Hollywood machine. After working in management for three years and achieving the heights of Jr. Manager at a prestigious firm, Alf found himself leaning more and more towards digital media as a primary source of income. In 2007 he began consulting with production companies and studios, but returned to full time management of talent where he went directly to streamlining and perfecting the firm’s online capabilities. In 2008 he was approached by the famed Shore family to head up the marketing and development for the family business. Since then he has created one of the the most robust social networks of any comedy club in the U.S., as well as garnering national attention for his creative use of social media and community building to revitalize his company and brand. His work has been featured on Comedy.com, Comedy Central Insider, Laugh Button, Laugh Spin, Venues Today, The Comic's Comic, Connectedcomedy.com and and Fifteen Minutes Media where he was referred to as a “Rising star of Social Media”. Alf has also been a featured speaker at Sports and Entertainment Venues Tomorrow Conference, 140 Conferences in NY and LA, South By Southwest, The Gravity Summit, Social Media Week Los Angeles ,The Digital Media Conference West, The USC Anenberg School Center for The Digital Future.
Carol Hartsell is the Comedy Editor for Huffington Post. She is also a writer, producer & the founding editor of Drink at Work.com. She has contributed to “The Onion” and was a writer, producer and performer for two years on Lizz Winstead’s popular Off-Broadway show “Wake Up World.”
For the last eight years, Carol has been a part of the New York comedy scene booking and producing various stand-up and sketch shows all over the city. She has most recently partnered with Luca Lounge in the East Village to create an independent comedy venue presenting multiple shows every night of the week.
In 2007, Carol joined the production team behind the ECNY Awards, which celebrates the comedic performing arts in New York City, serving as its technical director, sponsorship coordinator, and most recently as its Executive Producer.
In addition to her work with live comedy, Carol has established herself as a talented producer/director, creating videos for Lifetime.tv, NBC’s DotComedy.com, and Comix New York — where she was the Director of Video Production from 2009-10 as well as Programming Director.
She lives in New York with comedian Sean Crespo, their dog Fenny, and two cats Graham and Dr. Girlfriend. By the time you read this, she’ll be married for the second time… keep your fingers crossed for Sean.
