Caldera is an animated short film about a young girl struggling with mental illness. The story follows her as she goes off her medication and leaves a bleak metropolis to immerse herself in a vibrant oceanic cove.

Evan Viera is a filmmaker and composer living in Northampton, MA. He has worked on several short films as sound designer, composer, and visual artist. Evan’s animated senior thesis “Sycamore Eve” won Best Animated Film in the Scene First Student Film Festival. Caldera is Viera’s first film out of college.
