Making an Internet video is tough and making a good Internet video is almost impossible. Find out Funny Or Die's process for creating videos from the people who make them. Sit down with writers, directors and producers from Funny Or Die's illustrious pool of employees to learn how they come up with ideas, execute them and then make sure they get views. Just like your favorite days in grade school, there will be videos to subsidize this educational experience.

Alex Fernie Writer Funny or Die

Alex Fernie has been performing comedy since moving to Los Angeles after graduating from Vassar College with a history degree in 2004. He is a writer/director for Funny or Die as well as a performer and teacher at the Upright Citizens Brigade theater. He has written countless web videos as well as several television pilots and has appeared on FX's Terriers, TBS's Conan, Comedy Central's Reno 911! and other shows. When he was 17 he worked in a convenience store. He wasn't very good at it.

Ally Hord Producer Funny or Die

Currently a producer at Funny or Die, Ally Hord got her start in production while attending film school at Northwestern University in Chicago. After working on multiple reality TV shows in New York and with the Zune/ Xbox teams at Microsoft in Redmond, she moved to LA to focus on comedy and scripted productions. Last fall she helped launch Funny or Die's political content page "Live Funny or Die" for the election year, and most recently served as the post producer on the first season of Funny or Die's Fuse network show "Billy on the Street". She enjoys bad dad jokes, hashtag humor, and the Oxford comma.

Betsy Koch Producer Funny or Die

Originally from Plano, Texas, and a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, Betsy Koch began her career in the entertainment industry at the Endeavor agency where she worked in both the motion picture literary and talent departments. She transitioned into development and production working for writer/director Peter Berg at Film 44, then helped develop a full feature/TV slate as Robert Rodriguez's creative executive at Troublemaker Studios in Austin, TX. In late 2010 Betsy was hired as a producer at Funny or Die, and continues to live out her comedy dreams producing sketches/videos. Outside of Funny or Die, she co-produces a monthly comedy show called the Super Serious Show. And she likes sharks, ALF, and 90's hip hop.

Darryl Gudmundson Home Page Editor Funny or Die

Darryl Gudmundson has been working online ever since he starred in the movie Hackers. Originally from Costa Rica (by way of Florida, Oklahoma and Massachusetts) he moved to Los Angeles after graduating from Ithaca College with a degree in theater and communications in 2003. He is the gatekeeper at Funny Or Die and watches funny videos until he cries from laughing so hard for a living, he likes to dance, take pictures and high five.

Owen Burke Writer/Dir/Producer Funny or Die

Owen Burke made his start in improv and sketch comedy out of UCB New York. He's written, directed and starred in many UCB shows and served as the theatre's artistic director. He now resides in Los Angeles where he works at Gary Sanchez Productions as a TV/Film writer/producer as well as a consulting producer for FunnyOrDie.com.
