Mindz of A Different Kind (MDK) is a hip-hop power house reigning from the Live Music Capital of The World, Austin, Texas. The group consists of four primary artists: Blackchyl, Nick Cruz, ChiClopz, and BZA. Together, these four artist have created a unique underground hip-hop soundscape that rests well on the shelves with the likes of Souls of Mischief and A tribe Called Quest. MDK has been making music since 2010 with their Mixtape release Mind Elevation followed by multiple EP's and their full length LP entitled "Foursight." The project has production from Ohio Native Blue Print, Mellow Music Groups Gensue Dean, and local Austin favorite Kydd Jones. Foursight also features Abstract Rude (Project Blowed) and Mykah 9 (Freestyle Fellowship). MDK continues to create with their latest collaboration with Austins sister city Angers , France.
