A Micro Solution to a Giant Problem: Urban Housing
Urban housing is one of the biggest challenges facing cities across the world. The cost of urban living is at an all-time high, affordable properties in convenient locations are scarce, and city sprawl continues to prolong frustrating commute times. Housing infrastructure and design hasn’t solved for persistent and fundamental challenges since skyscraper engineering and suburban design, and a larger paradigm shift is critically needed. This talk introduces the hurdles of urban affordability and design within the context of revolutionary housing solutions. One novel example of a solution is Kasita, a 225 square foot high-end, modular, movable micro-home that fits into the heart of the city.
