CLARA-NOVA ’s music is electro-textured indie pop that manages to somehow be sophisticated, exotic, and accessible--all at the same time. Lyrically CLARA-NOVA pulls from transporting imaginative netherworlds and the beauty and struggle of an earthly existence. The collection of tracks is impressionistic and transporting. She is constantly inspired by exploring ways to combine art, culture, fashion, philanthropy, and collaborative installations along with her music as a means of fully expressing the world of CLARA-NOVA.
Now based in Echo Park - Los Angeles, Wayser is also known for her prolific work as a songwriter and collaborator which in 2014 earned her the ASCAP Abe Olman Scholarship, and has been a synch darling for years. Her music and vocals appearances have been featured in many film and tv spots, including Shameless, Grey’s Anatomy, and Outlander. Her cover of ‘Belfast Child’ was used in the 2014 Trailer for Ridley Scott’s film ‘Exodus’ and in 2015 Wayser’s version of ‘Dear God’ was featured in the trailer for Best Picture winner “Spotlight”.
CLARA-NOVA is now on tour supporting Polica on their west coast tour, and will be playing SXSW 2016.
