Listen to Born Whole
"To transcend // to expand love // to stay ancient while fresh" is the mission of Brooklyn artist Doe Paoro. Her music reveals itself as a form of mystic R&B. Paoro released her debut album, "Slow to Love," in February 2012, after months traveling alone through the Himalayas and studying Tibetan Opera singing. The ethereal vocal nuances in her songs reference her work with the Tibetan art form. She has drawn comparisons from James Blake to Lykke Li but her music remains singular. She has showcased at SXSW, CMJ and played the Osheaga Festival in Montreal. She is currently working on her second album.
