Twin Peaks + Boom Baptist
Twin Peaks is a collaboration between Halifax MC, Ghettosocks, and Toronto MC, Muneshine – Two of Hip Hop's most handsome devils, Ghettosocks & Muneshine, have conjoined to form the inimitable rap duo known as Twin Peaks. Exploring the darker side of the human soul, Twin Peaks delivers a mix of hard-hitting beats and braggadocio rhymes, peppered with David Lynch-ian themes and concepts.
In July of 2010, the duo put out their first release, a six song EP entitled, The Perfect Strangers EP. Featuring production by Bix, Jorun Bombay, Suff Daddy, Rich Kidd, and M-Phazes; cuts by Jorun Bombay, and Ghettosocks; with guest vocals by Saidah Cici, The Perfect Strangers EP provides listeners with a glimpse into the duo's forthcoming full length release, Kissing Hands and Shaking Babies. The group simultaneously released two videos on YouTube. First, for the single 'Audrey Horne', directed by Caley MacLennan, and the other for 'Just Say No', directed by Darren Pyper, the lead single from their debut full-length album, 'Kissing Hands and Shaking Babies.'
During July and August of 2010, Twin Peaks went on tour playing shows in Canada and Europe. The European portion of the tour included shows with acclaimed UK ensemble The Herbaliser, as well as a showcase at Hip Hop Kemp in The Czech Republic (one of the largest hip hop festivals in Europe and the world).
