Dr. Jason Rhodes graduated from Valley High School in West Des Moines, Iowa, earned a B.S. in physics from Harvey Mudd College and a Ph.D. in physics from Princeton University. After stints as a researcher at NASA’s, Goddard, Spaceflight Center in Maryland and at Caltech in Pasadena, he landed a position at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. His passion is developing telescopes to address the biggest mysteries in science. His primary projects include NASA’s Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope and the European Space Agency’s Euclid Mission both of which are designed to study dark energy, the hypothesized cause of the Universe’s accelerated expansion. Roman will also use various techniques to study exoplanets and Dr. Rhodes is the Project Scientist for Roman's Coronagraph Instrument.
