Ashton Barrineau Butcher

Ashton Barrineau Butcher is an M&A Partner at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP in Dallas, where she serves as Co-Chair of the Women’s Initiative, M&A Staffing Partner, and Partner Liaison to the Associates Committee. Her significant contributions to her clients and the legal community have earned her recognition in D Magazine’s Best Lawyers Under 40, Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch, and The Deal’s Rising Stars. Ashton is the Vice President of the Texas Young Lawyers Association (the young lawyer arm of the State Bar of Texas), and was awarded the Outstanding Director Award for her exceptional service to Texas young lawyers. Ashton graduated with special honors from the University of Texas in 2011, and received her J.D. from SMU Dedman School of Law, Magna Cum Laude, in 2014.
