Nicole Teeny

Nicole Teeny is an award-winning director, writer and creator working across film, TV, podcasts and new media. A Slamdance Grand Jury and Shorty Award-winning director and an Ambie-nominated podcaster, her projects have been featured on Netflix, ESPN’s 30 for 30, Paramount+, Amazon Prime, Kanopy and the Sundance Channel. She tells bold, emotionally charged boundary-pushing stories - from menstruation teen comedies to Hasidic female rockers; from queer mosques to teen Bible competitions. Her films have screened at Venice Film Festival, Outfest, Slamdance and more than 100 festivals, museums and theaters nationwide. She’s been recognized by Tribeca Film Institute, IDA Enterprise, Berlinale Talents, JFI, LEF, and PGA Create Lab, and has spoken at the United Nations on media and culture.
