Brian D. Range

Judge Brian Range has served as an Administrative Patent Judge with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) Patent Trial and Appeal Board for over nine years. Judge Range presides on panels for Inter Partes Review and Post Grant Review proceedings and has also authored over five hundred Ex Parte Appeal decisions. He has served as a judicial member of the Lee Yeakel IP Inn of Court since 2016. For over fifteen years before joining the USPTO, he litigated and advised on intellectual property matters at the law firms Wilson Sonsini and Brobeck Phleger & Harrison. Judge Range received his law degree from Harvard Law and his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University.
