Des Linden
Des Linden is an American long-distance runner and two-time Olympian, best known for winning the 2018 Boston Marathon under grueling weather conditions, making her the first American woman to win the race in 33 years.
Des is also the author of Choosing to Run: A Memoir, published in 2023. In the book, she shares the journey of her running career, highlighting the mental and physical challenges she faced on the road to becoming the 2018 Boston Marathon champion.
Des Linden co-hosts the podcast Nobody Asked Us with fellow runner Kara Goucher. The podcast offers an inside look at the world of professional running, covering everything from race recaps and training insights to candid discussions about the highs and lows of their careers.
