Shawana Moore

Dr. Moore is the immediate past President of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health (NPWH). She is committed to providing women’s and reproductive health care to underserved populations. In her work as a women’s health nurse practitioner with health care organizations, she has cared for women and the gender related populations across the lifespan, mostly in underserved areas, for more than a decade. As a National Institute Health (NIH)-designated early investigator. Shawana's research interests include women’s health across the lifespan, gender affirming care, environmental/climate and women’s health, adolescent female empowerment, reproductive, gynecological disorders, telehealth in the women’s health care setting, diversity, inclusion and equity.
