Robert Rodriguez
Robert Rodriguez is a multifaceted filmmaker, serving as director, screenwriter, producer, cinematographer, editor and composer on his films. While a student at the University of Texas at Austin, he wrote and directed his first feature film, El Mariachi, garnering critical acclaim and winning the Audience Award at the 1993 Sundance Film Festival. His filmography includes Desperado, From Dusk Till Dawn, Sin City, Spy Kids and Alita: Battle Angel. In 2000, Rodriguez founded Troublemaker Studios, a leading production facility in Austin, Texas, contributing significantly to the city's thriving film industry. Two of his films have been added to the National Film Registry of the Library of Congress: El Mariachi and Spy Kids.
