Zachary Helm

Zach has a passion for energy production, as he has a background in nuclear power plant operations as a Navy Nuclear Surface Officer veteran before joining the Holtec International Team. Holtec is developing products to revolutionize the energy landscape with the SMR-300 Small Modular Reactor and the Green Boiler long duration thermal energy storage system. With the Green Boiler, energy is stored as thermal energy from electrical or steam inputs during times of surplus and then utilized to provide a steam output on demand. The Green Boiler can satisfy peaks in energy demands or provide continuous 24/7 output from intermittent sources like solar. Zach holds a chemical engineering degree from Rowan University and is furthering his education with the University of Wisconsin MBA Consortium.
