Isabella Uknis
Izzy’s passion for music has been lifelong, but her actual work began at Temple University (go birds!) as an on-air talent for the school’s radio station, where she co-founded the campus’ first Reggae/Ska show, Coast 2 Coast. This opened the door to various internships at major labels and publishers, including the Urban Promotions department at Atlantic Records, the musical theater label at Warner Music Group: Ghostlight Records, the marketing department at Ultra Records, World Café Live at WXPN, the marketing department at Sony Nashville, and finally, the sync department at Warner Chappell. After graduating, she was lucky enough to start her professional career at Warner Chappell, which is where she fell in love with all things sync.
Now, Izzy works at Universal Music Publishing Group as a Manager in the Music for Ads department. She has cleared music from many different genres for hundreds of small-scale and large-scale international and domestic ad campaigns. The most rewarding aspect of her role is that she has the privilege to represent and advocate for some of the most talented songwriters in the world, and that she gets to introduce new audiences to music that they may not have been exposed to otherwise.
Outside of work, Izzy loves to run, read, paint, and build hyper-niche Spotify playlists!
