Zane Buchanan
Zane Buchanan, a Métis writer, producer, and digital storyteller in Vancouver, has built a diverse career. He began as a freelance journalist and gained recognition as the 2019 Saskatchewanderer, which led to his role with the Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada (ITAC). Zane shapes creative direction for The Original Original program and Destination Indigenous. He also serves as executive editor of Nations magazine and contributes to Canadian Geographic and Explore. A Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society, Zane is a judge for the Travel Media Association of Canada Awards. He advocates for Indigenous issues and has spoken at events like SXSW Sydney and the Juno Awards. Zane is also the founder of CIVL Creative, a digital agency for nonprofits.
