Courtenay Valenti

Courtenay Valenti serves as head of film, streaming, and theatrical at Amazon MGM Studios. In her role, she oversees all films for the company. Under Valenti’s leadership, the Amazon MGM Studios film team continues to carefully curate their slate to deliver a well-rounded selection of tentpoles, prestige films, and genre fare. Recent releases from the Studios team include You’re Cordially Invited, starring Will Ferrell and Reese Witherspoon; the inspiring true story of Anthony Robles, Unstoppable; and the Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans-led holiday action-comedy, Red One, which attracted a record-breaking 50 million worldwide viewers in just its opening weekend, becoming the studio’s most-watched film debut ever on Prime Video. Some upcoming releases for Amazon MGM Studios include A Working Man, from director David Ayer; the Viola Davis-led action-thriller, G20; and the highly anticipated sequel to A Simple Favor, starring Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively.

Prior to joining Amazon, Valenti, a 30-year film studio veteran, rose through the creative development ranks at Warner Bros. Pictures, ultimately serving as president of production and development.
