Cristina I. Ramirez

Cristina I. Ramirez is the criminal defense lead of the Sissy Farenthold Reproductive Justice Defense Project at Texas Law. Previously, she served as a public defender in the Travis County Public Defender’s Office, the Criminal Defense Practice at the Legal Aid Society in NYC, and the Dallas County Public Defender’s Office. She received a B.S from the University of Texas at Austin and a J.D. from Boston University School of Law. In law school, she represented clients in the Criminal Defense Clinic and interned at the New England Innocence Project, Dallas County Public Defender’s Office, and the Public Defender Service for D.C. She enjoys picnicking in Pease Park with her rescue girls (Luna and Bella), going to comedy shows, and riding her e-bike to alllll the music venues in Austin!
