Barrington Rutherford is CEO of Shelby County Cannabis Solutions (SCCS) – a cultivator, manufacturer, and distributor, occupying a unique space in the cannabis industry. As a subsidiary of a non-profit org serving people with developmental disabilities in central Illinois, SCCS provides access to medical marijuana products, as well as cannabis industry opportunities to the most underserved and forgotten places in IL. A true industry leader, Barrington has sourced nearly $100M of investments and developed real estate assets nationwide. Barrington founded the SEED Initiative, a social equity program built to empower the disenfranchised with cannabis opportunities. He has served on the board of the Minority Cannabis Business Assoc and now serves on the board of Marijuana Policy Project.
