Julia Herbst

Julia Herbst is a senior editor for Fast Company's Work Life section, where she covers the future of work, equity and inclusion, and workplace culture. Though she is predominantly an editor, she has written about everything from forced arbitration to the growth of the business of women’s sports to why no one wants to be a middle manager anymore. Julia also oversees Fast Company’s annual Queer 50 list, and contributes regularly to the Work Life section’s weekly newsletter, Work Smarter. Previously she worked as a writer and editor at Los Angeles magazine and BREAKER magazine. Originally from California, Julia now lives in Brooklyn, New York.
