
Shireen Zaman
Shireen Zaman is a program officer on Ford Foundation’s BUILD team, advancing efforts to strengthen social justice organizations and networks globally. With over two decades in philanthropy and nonprofits, she has led organizational transformation, resource development, and program management. Previously, she directed the RISE Together Fund at the Proteus Fund, supporting grassroots organizations from Black/African, Arab, Middle Eastern, Muslim, and South Asian communities. A founding member of the Emergent Fund, she also served on its advisory council. Recognized as a White House Champion of Change, Shireen holds a BA from Boston College and an MA from American University. She studied Arabic at AUC and is completing a coaching certification in Healing, Justice, and Liberation.
