Erin Crownover
Erin Crownover is a Doctoral Candidate in the Physical Culture and Sports Studies program at the University of Texas at Austin. She is currently working on her dissertation, examining the intricate dynamics of racial and gender attitudes in the early stages of athletic training at UT Austin. Erin received a B.S. in Kinesiology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and an M.S. in Exercise Physiology from UT Austin. Her connection to sports runs deep, having been a former DII collegiate basketball player. She endured multiple knee injuries, ending her athletic career shorter than what she dreamed of, but having gone through them it fueled her to pursue higher education. Erin was determined to understand more about the relationship between knee injuries and female athletes.
