Via Bia

Principal | Producer
Vianda Media LLC

Via Bia was raised on the shimmering asphalt of Long Island by a multi-generational Puerto Rican and Jewish family where God was in charge (aka, her abuela).

Her scripts have been selected for labs, mentorships, or fellowships with Sundance, Stowe, Cine Qua Non, and Women In Animation. Her first film, These Colors Don't Run, was shot on film and distributed by HBO/MAX, while her latest film, Post Comedy, is currently on the festival circuit. She is a Producer of Cohetes (a feature by Drew Saplin); and shorts, Un Hombre Sincero (dir: Ann Valdés); La Juana (dir: Anayamel); Bridge. (dir: Cristina Wolf); and Development (dir: Chloe Caudillo) - selected for the 2023 LALIFF/Netflix Inclusion Fellowship, starring Haskiri Velazquez (Saved By The Bell reboot; The 40 Year Old Version; Marvin Is Sorry). Via is the co-writer of Christmas Rodeo, a bawdy Christmas rom-com optioned by Happy Accidents.

Via loves stories that center on cursey Latinas who act like they don’t give a shit… but nah, they totally do.
