Karin Bilich
Karin has been working for 20+ years as a content creator, content strategist, and storyteller, with a heavy focus on healthcare and education. Starting her career as a writer and editor after getting her bachelors degree from New York University, Karin has worked for a variety of professional publications, nonprofits, healthcare organizations, and start-up tech companies.
Since 2021, Karin has been serving as the Head of Content for Noom, a well-known health-tech company that focuses on driving behavior change around weight loss, healthy aging, stress reduction, diabetes prevention, and more. She has overseen the creation of research-backed, in-app curriculum to inspire and delight users, while using instructional design principles to effectively modify behavior.
Prior to her current role, Karin served for nine years as the VP of Editorial Content at Understood, a non-profit organization focused on improving life outcomes for children and young adults with learning and thinking differences like dyslexia and ADHD.
During the pandemic, Karin was inspired to go back to school and earn her masters in Health Communications from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. It is through those learnings that she has been able to bring together her content creation and storytelling skills, as well as her extensive knowledge of the product and tech space, with the most effective, research-proven ways to drive healthy behavior change.
Since completing her masters, Karin has also been serving as a professor for the City University of New York, teaching courses on public health campaigns and health equity.
