Showrunner, writer, and director Nahnatchka Khan has become one of the most sought-after creators in film and television, known for some of the most innovative works in comedy including "Fresh Off the Boat," "Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23," "Young Rock," and "Always Be My Maybe.” Khan is the founder of her film and TV production company, Fierce Baby, which focuses on amplifying new voices and perspectives in both comedy and drama. Khan currently serves as writer and executive producer on the Peacock series "Laid," which is based on the Australian television series of the same name by Marieke Hardy and Kirsty Fisher. The series comes from Universal Television and will star Oscar Nominee Stephanie Hsu as a woman finds out her former lovers are dying in unusual ways and must go back through her sex timeline to confront her past in order to move forward. Khan also has an exclusive overall deal with Universal Television to create, develop, write, supervise, and produce series projects for television. Khan also served as co-showrunner, creator, and executive producer on the popular comedy series “Young Rock,” a sitcom from NBC following the early years of Dwayne Johnson, for which she also directed the pilot. Additionally, Khan created and executive produced the long-running and award-winning television show “Fresh Off the Boat” and was the creator and executive producer of “Don’t Trust the B---- In Apartment 23,” which aired for two seasons on ABC.
