David Le

David joined the USPTO in January 2009, and examined patents relating to information security and cryptography. He transitioned to the Assistant Regional Director in February 2020, just in time for the pandemic. David was born and raised in Oklahoma, and moved to the Washington DC metro to begin his career at the USPTO. He subsequently moved to Colorado in 2014, as a new regional office of the USPTO was being opened. He took over as the Assistant Regional Director in 2020. He is currently the Acting Director of the Community Engagement Office under the Office of Public Engagement where he oversees several of the agency’s outreach divisions. He has B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma and a Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University School of Law. He is also a member of the Oklahoma State Bar.
