Carolyn Comer

Carolyn is President of Shell Energy North America and Chairman of the Board of Shell Trading Risk Management, with over three decades of experience. She oversees Shell’s gas, power, and environmental products wholesale marketing and trading in the Americas. Carolyn began her career in an NGO, then joined a chemical distributor in Ireland, later expanding into the UK market. She joined Shell in 1998, holding various leadership roles across multiple geographies. In 2011, she moved into Trading & Supply, leading major transformations. She relocated to Houston in 2015, driving strategic growth initiatives. As Vice President Downstream Strategy & Portfolio, she helped create Shell’s Powering Progress strategy. Now, she leads one of North America's top three gas and power wholesalers.
