Makoto Matsuda

Makoto is Chairman of the Board, The Japan 2.5 Musical Association. He started his career in theater as a performer and eventually founded Nelke Planning in 1994. He is a pioneer in creating a new genre in theater, “2.5 Dimensional Musical,” adapting animation, comic books, and video games to theatrical pieces. His theatrical credits include The Prince of Tennis, Tokenranbu, NARUTO: Live Spectacle, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, My Hero Academia, and more. His hit productions have been presented internationally in Asia, Europe, and the US.
