Ji-Sook Yim

I'm a Product Design Lead at Alight Solutions, where I drive the design strategy and vision for Alight's employee benefits and employer analytics platforms. Through my role, I collaborate with multiple teams, including product managers, researchers, engineers, accessibility, content design, and design systems. I bring 14 years of experience, including 6+ years in UX research and design, with diverse perspectives shaped by my previous roles as a content strategist at a branding agency and as a merchandiser for an e-commerce startup.

I made the transition into UX nearly 8 years into my career, where I first forged my path into UX research, and 6 months later into UX design, without any prior experience in any type of design. In the past 6 years I have grown my career from an individual contributor to a Product Design Lead, where I oversee the design strategy for digital products while being a people manager and supporting my designers' career growth. I know how difficult it can be to change one’s career path, and I love to pay it forward by helping others who are looking for a career change or growth in UX/product design.
