Juan Arredondo
Juan Arredondo is a Colombian-American documentary photographer who chronicles stories of human rights, immigration, and social conflict in Latin America, the United States, and Ukraine.
He was embedded with FARC rebels to document the peace process between the Colombian government and FARC and the demobilization and reintegration of former fighters into Colombian society. This project won him several awards, including the prestigious World Press Photo Award.
His work has also captured significant conflicts and crises, including civil unrest in Venezuela and Colombia and the migration crisis in Central America and the United States, for The New York Times and National Geographic.
Juan is a visual journalism professor at Rutgers University.
