Golloria George

Originally a refugee from South Sudan, Golloria George came to the United States at 5 years old with her family to live out ‘the American dream’. Growing up, she lacked representation of her skin tone and felt alone and somewhat unworthy, until coming across an influential YouTube creator who inspired her to embrace her beauty and color of her skin. This launched Golloria to ultimately have a passion for her to discover different makeup brands that formulated with the color of her skin and create a space to share her experience with others like herself.

Fast forward to her college years studying law at a prominent college in Texas, George began to test different types of foundations on her skin and posted these videos online – all while studying for school AND holding a full-time job. It was after a long, 12-hour day that she came home and created her first viral-video (her Fenty Hour video) that lead her to become a full-time creator and voice for WOC and beauty inclusivity. Her voice has become so powerful within the space that major brands have not only changed their formulas to be more inclusive for darker skin tones, but several (including Patrick Ta and Rhode) have called upon George as a consultant to help guarantee their brand will uphold to the standards that must be met within the beauty industry. In a wildly successful year, the creator has landed on many of the industry’s top lists for shaping the future of beauty, including Forbes 30 Under 30, The Hollywood Reporter’s Next Gen, the Dazed 100 and was voted People Magazine’s reader’s choice for Creator of the Year in Beauty.

In addition to her dedication to beauty content, she has goals to become a runway model and, more importantly, is deeply committed to advocating for refugees and contributing to initiatives that provide Sudanese communities with access to clean water by wells – as well as helping to give further access to education and other items that will overall benefit her culture.
