Joshua Madell

Josh Madell has spent his career supporting independent labels and artists. Between tours playing drums in indie bands in the '90s, Madell founded the Other Music record shop in NYC, which for 20 years was one of the most acclaimed and beloved shops in the world. He also ran the Other Music Recording Company label, and promoted dozens of live events in NYC, at SXSW, and elsewhere. In 2018, Madell joined Secretly Distribution, where he oversees A&R for the distribution company, helping SD triple in sales and bringing in scores of new label and artist partners, from iconic legacy labels to the next wave of cutting edge young creatives.
