With over 17 years of experience in the music industry, Ryan Hamilton specializes in cultivating
strategic relationships and driving growth across the dynamic music landscape. Currently, he
serves as the VP, Head of Business Development and Digital Licensing, where he leads digital
partner negotiations, successfully securing multimillion-dollar advances and royalties that propel
long-term business success. His extensive background in music brand partnerships, live
production, concert marketing and sales, music rights, and account management has shaped a
client-centric and collaborative approach, allowing him to understand and work across many
areas of the industry. Ryan's experience with top digital service providers (DSPs) has been
pivotal in navigating today’s complex music environment.
Ryan prides himself on establishing key partnerships with leading rights administrators and
major DSPs, including Spotify, Apple, Amazon, Google/YouTube, TikTok, and Meta. He enjoys
working closely with new music tech startups, entertainment lawyers, and consultants who are
the lifeblood of the growing music tech community. These collaborations enhance the market
position and support the success of a prestigious artist portfolio that features renowned names
such as Jason Aldean, Five Finger Death Punch, Tim McGraw, Chris Stapleton, Daddy Yankee,
Dropkick Murphys, Ingrid Michaelson, and T.Rex.
In his role, Ryan oversees all business development and licensing efforts across masters and
publishing works. Additionally, he manages the masters catalog strategy and supports all
publishing blanket licensing efforts. He also supports the overall operational flow of global digital
income, ensuring seamless integration across various revenue streams. For masters, he works
closely with investment and distribution partners, as well as creative marketers to execute
across all special projects and activations. He leads efforts to exploit all possible music rights
and drive new revenue streams that may not be traditional royalty revenue streams while
managing budgets and overseeing both physical and digital distribution. His innovative
marketing activations for high-profile artists have driven significant revenue growth.
Beyond his business expertise, Ryan has successfully implemented cross-departmental CRM
systems like Airtable, streamlining operations and enhancing collaboration across A&R, Sync,
Licensing, and Administrative teams. He also led a company-wide rebranding initiative,
optimizing the digital presence and unlocking new sales opportunities.
