Arin Bhowmick

With over two decades of applied expertise, Arin is a leading authority in design leadership, particularly within the enterprise software sector. As SAP’s Chief Design Officer, Arin oversees a community of 1,000+ designers and drives design strategy and excellence across SAP’s extensive portfolio. He also serves on SAP’s Innovation Steering Committee, helping shape the company’s future through design. Arin’s career began at Oracle, where he eventually served as Senior Design Executive of Cloud Applications and User Experience, setting the stage for his future leadership roles. Prior to SAP, Arin spent six years at IBM as Chief Design Officer for IBM Products, a tenure distinguished by over 60 international design and innovation awards. His work at IBM was recognized in a 2021 Harvard Business School case study. Arin is also a founding member and board advisor of the Design Executive Council, an independent organization created by design leaders for design leaders.
