Jeff Schloemer

Jeff Schloemer has over 15 years of experience as an aerospace engineer. As Sr. Director of engineering at Astroscale US he is pioneering a sustainable circular economy in space through a simple concept of removing space debris and building and servicing reusable spacecraft. He received a BS and MS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan in 2008 and 2009, respectively. With previous employers Lockheed Martin and Raytheon Technologies, Jeff led the CONOPS development of the space segment for a government customer, acted as a chief engineer for satellite planning and scheduling and led business development efforts for new commercial and government contracts. Jeff is also a patent holder and has received recognition for his work in space constellation management optimization.
