Patches Pace Seely

Patches has served the healthcare industry as a Clinical Executive for 20+ years in both the provider and healthcare services sectors. Patches has spent over half of her career in both clinical and operational leadership roles ranging from inpatient care delivery, clinical informatics & analytics, patient logistics, ambulatory and diagnostic scheduling, clinical surveillance, and virtual nursing services inside a multi-state, integrated delivery organization totaling approximately 150 hospitals, 2200 sites of care with individual responsibility for budgets as high as $34M. In her most recent role, she served as the EVP of Clinical Solutions providing clinical strategy development to a healthcare engagement organization who served health plans, providers, and employers from all 50 states and the Philippines.

Patches has served as a Clinical & Business Advisor to a health technology startups focusing in on clinical and operations outcomes, workflow and go-to-market strategy.

When she started her own consultancy, she began working with organizations whose mission was grounded in access, quality care and a commitment to building a culture of excellence. The vastness of Patches’ experience affords her the ability to lead on multiple fronts, communicate with all roles and role types and find and foster the best in individuals.

Patches has spoken nationally on topics like AI, cybersecurity, virtual nursing, command center approaches to care, virtual/remote team dynamics, communications and the impact to clinical safety. Her influence has reached academia through her participation in a virtual nursing certification and continued virtual nursing practice standards. Additionally, she’s participated in podcasts covering topics like AI, drug diversion, safety & high reliability principles and recently brought her body of qualitative research on Being a Professional in Transition to a webinar.

Patches has deep expertise in organizational adoption of new ways of working, technology, process automation and disruption of work through innovation. She has experienced the healthcare system as a registered nurse, a leader, a patient, an advocate for aging family members and is continually inspired to keep “fixing” a system that is cumbersome for those we love.

Patches received her Bachelors in Psychology from Louisiana State University, her Bachelors in Nursing from LSU Health Sciences Center and her MBA from University of Texas at Tyler.
