Jacqueline Wen Xi TONG
I am an arts curator and promoter based in Hong Kong, working locally and internationally. With a focus on moving image, I have been in arts management, curation, PR and marketing, as well as partnership and sponsorship for 15 years. Upon graduation with a bachelor degree in East Asian Studies from Oberlin College (US), and a masters degree in Contemporary Cinema Cultures from King’s College London (UK), I pursued my career in moving image curation at the Hong Kong Arts Centre, the Asian Film Awards Academy and the Chinese Documentary Festival, and have organized programs with Hong Kong and international film and arts festivals and commissions. I have curated ~80 screening, training and educational programs, and led marketing campaigns for more than ~100 programs with more than 500 films. I have given and moderated ~200 talks for film and arts programs, festivals and schools. My latest promotional project is Berlinale's Teddy Award Best Film, All Shall Be Well (dir. Ray Yeung, 2024). I am a recipient of the Asian Cultural Council Fellowship (2024), and the Outstanding Individuals K-Fellowship (2022) of the Government of the Republic of Korea.
