Kayla Williams

Kayla J. Williams, founder of entertainment marketing shop kj pr, has over twelve years of public relations and marketing experience across music, film, television, events and more.

Prior to starting kj pr in 2022, Kayla spent a decade honing her craft in agency life and her work includes successful campaigns for Meta, featuring talent partnerships with Post Malone, Foo Fighters, Erykah Badu, and more. She’s also worked with Amazon Prime Video, Bravo, Crypt TV, Netflix, Peacock, Smosh, the Oscar-nominated Short Films theatrical release and more. In addition, Kayla has led PR for legendary concerts with talent like Elton John, Taylor Swift, Willie Nelson as well as festivals and events including Formula 1, SXSW, the Texas Medal of Arts Awards, X Games, Moontower Comedy Festival, and many others.

Kayla, currently based in Austin, earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Relations at the University of Texas at Austin. Kayla is a proud member of the Television Academy, The Recording Academy and Women in Music. She also is a mentor for the PRSSA chapter at the University of Texas and serves on Board of Directors of the SIMS Foundation, an organization that provides mental health and substance use recovery services and supports for musicians, music industry professionals, and their dependents.
