Sharanya Rao

Sharanya Rao is a career, leadership and team coach who is committed to bringing positive, sustaining transformation in individuals and organizations through Co-Active coaching, mindfulness and cultural awareness. She helps leaders create inclusive work cultures through personal clarity. She provides a nurturing space, asks hard questions and holds accountability for clients to introspect and act. She helps professionals in career transition to design a career that aligns their intention with their impact, leaders at all levels who want to achieve more impact through their leadership, and with companies who want to create inclusive teams. Her diverse background forms a tapestry of skills which serve her clients in unique ways. As a former lawyer, she brings skills in critical thinking, analysis and pragmatism to coaching. Having served in non-profit organizations for over 20 years, in various capacities from volunteer to Board member, she deeply cares for people in her community and pursues a service-oriented approach to work. As a creative artist, she kindles her clients’ inner flame of creativity and imagination, and uses creative techniques for problem-solving. After living and working in 4 countries, she is tuned to the cultural perspectives of her clients. Sharanya holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Law. Sharanya is a Professional Certified coach with the International Coach Federation, and the Co-active Training Institute. She is a certified consultant for the Leadership Circle Profile and the EQ-i 2.0 and EQ360 Assessments. She is a Team Coach who is trained in Organizational Relationship Systems Coaching (ORSC). She currently serves as the Director of Community Outreach at the International Coaching Federation (ICF) Greater Austin Chapter.
