Desmar is a board certified Family Physician who works as an innovative public health professional in a major metropolitan city addressing health problems issues through an equity lens. ATX is a true center of excellence and innovation with people committed to taking on the challenges and taking risks to make changes to improve health for everyone. Here in the Deep South we are tackling climate, diseases like HIV and syphilis, mental health the opioid crisis and homelessness bravely and effectively in a race forward way. Under Desmar’s leadership and with her ability to have creative courageous conversations these tough issues are being addressed and mitigated.
