Giordano Maestrelli
As a director, Giordano has an innate ability to capture everyday life with beauty and delicacy. He infuses stories with palpable human emotion and visually constructs them with a language that’s reminiscent of indie cinema. With a background in still photography, Giordano has a range of projects under his belt, from commercials for Nike, Budweiser, Reporters Without Borders and Nissan, to music videos for bands such as Unknown Mortal Orchestra and SOHN. His work has been recognised by all of advertising’s finest, including D&AD, Clio Music, UKMVA, Ciclope and more. Most recently, Giordano created the Cannes Grand Prix winning campaign ‘The First Speech’ for Reporters Without Borders, a powerful call to action to protect freedom of speech and truth-led voting.
